Arulmigu Subramanya Swamy Temple, popularly known as Thiruchendur Murugan Temple, is one of the Six Sacred Abodes (Arupadai Veedu) of Lord Murugan. Located on the shores of the Bay of Bengal in Thoothukudi District, Tamil Nadu, it is the only Arupadai Veedu situated by the sea. According to Hindu tradition, this is the sacred place where Lord Murugan defeated the demon Surapadman. The temple is renowned for its magnificent nine-tier Rajagopuram, beautiful seashore location, and grand festivals. Devotees visit throughout the year to seek blessings for health, success, courage, prosperity, and spiritual well-being.
